The women and men of the United Nations are determined in our efforts to address today’s cascading crises and set humanity on a new path to peace, stability and prosperity.
At meetings and conferences of Charter or mandated bodies, participants may speak in any of the six official languages. Their words are simultaneously rendered into the other five languages by conference interpreters.

The Protocol and Liaison Service applies an orderly, uniform set of rules and governing codes of behaviour in diplomatic forums, meetings and ceremonies involving missions/observers and their representatives. This is the essence of UN diplomatic protocol.
